Meet Speed Coach Wayne!

Wayne Jacobs, originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, now resides in Orange County, California, where he is the Founder and Head Coach of Jacobs Pro Speed, a premier speed training program for athletes of all levels.

As a USATF and AAU-certified coach with a degree in Exercise Science, Wayne brings both expertise and passion to his work. His journey in sports is deeply rooted in personal achievement and professional experience.

Athletic Accomplishments

• Professional Athlete: Played professional football, including CFL, Arena football, and on practice squad with other professional teams.

• Professional Sprinter: Competed at the elite level, training alongside top athletes, including Alonzo Edwards, who placed 2nd to Usain Bolt.

• High School Legacy: 3-time state champion and nationally ranked track athlete since the age of 9. His records still stand at his high school to this day.

Academic and Professional Background

• Education: Graduated from the College of the Desert in Palm Springs with an Associate’s degree in Exercise Science.

• Collegiate Football: Played at Universities in New Mexico and Arizona , while excelling on the field and building a foundation in sports science.

Wayne’s mission is to inspire and elevate young athletes by providing them with the tools, techniques, Biomechanics, art of sprinting, confidence, and mentorship to succeed in both sports and life. His dedication to developing speed, agility, and confidence ensures that each athlete reaches their full sprinting potential.
